Something wicked and something good
Halloween art show, prints, and paintings!
It’s that time of year again… the air is crisp and the veil is thin. This is the second year that I am co-curating a Halloween-themed art show at East Manning Projects in Providence, RI. The show was such a delight last year, and this year we have even more amazing, spooky art to share with you!
Please join us for the opening of Something Wicked at East Manning Projects this Wednesday, October 29th from 6pm - 9pm. In addition to hair-raising local art, there will also be drinks, snacks, and a mini gallery of black cat photos. Costumes encouraged!
If you can’t make the opening, the show will run through November 14th. Gallery hours will be posted on the gallery’s Instagram. East Manning Projects is located at 44 East Manning Street in Providence. Thank you to my co-curators: Scott Lerner and Daniel Chang Christensen.
In bittersweet news, local treasure Tiny Showcase is closing its doors after 20+ years of curated print runs. Tiny Showcase encouraged artists to choose a non-profit to support with their work. I had a print featured back in 2021 and chose Rhode Island’s own Tomaquag Museum to receive 15% of the profits. You can still order “The Fish is the Sea” and other wonderful artworks for a limited time.
Framed and matted works can be ordered until November 29th and the cut-off for all orders is December 18th. Get yourself and your loved ones some art while you can. Huge thank you to Julia Gualtieri for including me in this project!
Finally, I will have some original artwork for sale at Kristi’s Holiday Market & Cafe in Warren, RI. East Bay dynamo Kristi, of Kristi’s Kraftails, has put together a pop-up storefront at The Point featuring all locally-made goods. Stop by November 1st through December 31st, Wednesdays - Mondays from 11am - 5pm at 747 Main St. in Warren.
Thanks for checking in, friends! Stay safe and protect each other.
